StUDY 1NE.

Feijoa extract clinical study improves hyperglycaemia in patients with T2DM

Population: 24 diabetic individuals over a 3 month period
Dose: 2300mg
Results vs placebo:

  • 0.86% reduction in HbA1c (3 month blood glucose average)
  • 36.3 mg/dL reduction in fasting blood glucose
  • 38 mg/dL reduction in blood triglycerides
  • 17.5 mg/dL reduction in total cholesterol

Ferdinand Study

Population: 97 participants who were prediabetic over a 6 month study period
Dose: 1150mg
Results vs placebo:

  • Feiolix significantly reduced fasting plasma glucose compared to placebo over 6 months.
  • Feiolix led to sustained reductions in systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
  • Feiolix helped maintain weight loss and with lower rebound effect after dietary intervention.
  • Feiolix showed lower tendency to rebound for lipid levels and visceral adipose tissue mass.

A Single Center, Randomised, Double Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Interventional, Comparative Clinical Study to evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Feiolix Capsules in Prediabetic Participants

Population: 37 participants, pre-diabetic and overweight
Dose: 300mg and 1150mg
Results vs placebo:

  • Significantly reduced HBA1c levels (both 1150mg and 300mg)
  • Significantly improved response for fasting blood sugar and insulin resistance (300mg)
  • Significantly decreased total cholesterol and LDL (both 1150mg and 300mg)
  • Significantly reduced body weight and BMI (1150mg) within 2 months
  • Significantly reduced eating capacity (1150mg) at 1 and 2 hours, and 1 hour for 300mg (improving satiety).

When you eat, carbohydrates are broken down into glucose, which enters your bloodstream and causes your blood sugar to rise.

In response, your gut releases hormones like GLP-1 that tell the pancreas to release insulin, reduce glucagon, slow stomach emptying and signal to your brain that you’re getting full.

In a healthy response, blood sugar rises moderately after a meal, GLP-1 and insulin help move glucose into muscles and other tissues, and your levels drift back toward baseline over 2–3 hours without a hard “crash.”
